Two days after his tournament victory in Stuttgart, US tennis professional Taylor Fritz surprisingly failed in the first round during his Wimbledon general rehearsal.
The world ranking, who had beaten Alexander Zverev in the final at the start of the lawn season, lost 7: 6 (7: 5), 6: 7 (7: 9), 5: 7 in the Queen’s Queen’s Queen’s Queen’s Queen’s Club.
Fritz awarded a match ball in the tie -break of the second set. In the crucial round, the 27-year-old caught up with a break and equalized to 5: 5, but left-handed Moutet did not let a head hit remove his way and converted his first match ball to victory after 2:54 hours.
Fritz can now concentrate on the Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon (from June 30).
