With a show of force, Allianz MTV Stuttgart became the first club to reach the final of the DVV Cup.

In the duel between the two volleyball heavyweights, the five-time cup winners demonstrated their outstanding form and gave the champions SSC Palmberg Schwerin no chance with a 3-0 (25:15, 25:16, 25:19) win in front of their home crowd. The final opponent will be determined on Wednesday evening (7 p.m./DYN) between VfB Suhl and last year’s winner Dresdner SC.

In the women’s Bundesliga, MTV is still unbeaten and sits confidently at the top of the table with seven wins, while the Schwerin women around top talent Leana Grozer follow in second place despite two defeats. On Tuesday evening, Stuttgart left nothing to be desired in front of their own fans right from the start and showed their biggest rivals the limits. The best scorer was diagonal attacker Pauline Martin with 14 points.

The two teams will meet in the league for the first time on December 27th (5:30 p.m.). The cup final will take place on February 28th in Mannheim.
