Striders in Breda fighting in a café and on the street: six hotheads arrested

The police had their hands full in the center of Breda on Saturday night with a number of fights that in some cases got out of hand. A total of six suspects were arrested. “Sometimes a small misunderstanding led to serious assault,” the police said.

For example, according to the police, a 21-year-old man from Beers was hit several times in the face in a café after he accidentally hit two other visitors while dancing, according to the police. The victim suffered a bloody nose and reported assault. A 30-year-old man from Capelle aan de IJssel was arrested for the assault.

Nose bleeding
A 25-year-old man from Breda also suffered a nosebleed in another café after being punched in the face by another visitor. He told police that he ordered a drink for someone at the bar, after which a stranger took the drink. When he said something about this, he immediately got a slap in the face. A suspect has also been arrested for this assault. It concerns a 28-year-old man from Breda.

A 35-year-old man was arrested a little later on the Havermarkt after he threatened the doorman with death at a catering business because he was not allowed inside.

Abuse
The night out ended with an assault on the harbor of two 24-year-old men from Maastricht and Breda. The two were walking with their bicycles around a quarter past four when they were attacked by several boys. The man from Breda was hit in the face and suffered a bloody nose. His friend was also punched and kicked in the back.

Three boys were arrested for this assault. These are boys of 16 and 18 from Breda and a boy of 16 from Teteringen.
