“What do you mean, that’s not allowed?” There will undoubtedly be many discussions between drivers and the police on Belgian roads today and tomorrow. The latter not only checks extra strictly for mobile phone use behind the wheel, but also for other forms of distraction. But what is still allowed? Can you drink a sip of water or eat a sandwich while driving? And what about GPS, built-in screens or even a Zoom meeting? Stef Willems from VIAS traffic institute explains.
