During the Parisian Haute Couture week, fashion doesn’t stop at the catwalks. Outside the ateliers, between wet pavements and armored entrances, Street Style becomes an exercise in style: interpreting Haute Couture without succumbing to it. Insiders, journalists and influencers they try to challenge with a Couture that in SS26 will be more precious, dreamy and radical than ever. However, they do not always succeed.
In or Out is a game of details: not every look works. Dress up to attend the parades most beautiful dresses in the world it is a real challenge, amplified this year also by bad weather. Between successful tactics and obvious slip-ups, who it really is à la mode in Paris?
Who’s In (For Real)
There is no rain, there is no dress code that a true Parisian it-girl cannot handle, and the Street Style of Haute Couture 2026 proves it once again. True style, today, is often where you wouldn’t look for it: not in the flashier looks nor in the attempts to replicate fashion show outfits, but in those who know how to mix trends and great classics naturally. This is how the jeans, in a thousand versions, combined with velvet jackets, two-tone shoes, large leather bags carried on the arm.

There are those who look to the East, with blouses with oriental fastenings or embroidered capes, and those who focus on vintage hats or floral brooches pinned on coats. Who’s really cool? Those who remain true to themselveseven in the face of the creativity of Haute Couture.
High Fashion does not forgive: who is Out
Paris, however, does not forgive. And those who are Out often fall right into the trap of wanting to amaze at all costs. Not only obvious excesses, but also apparently harmless mistakes which, in Street Style Couture, become fatal. The most frequent concerns proportions, especially with boots: the hem of skirts or trousers that coincides exactly with the boot it breaks up the silhouette and weighs down the look.

Also banned crop tops, out of context and even more inconsistent in the rain and cold. Not even it-girls are immune: forced color combinations, animal prints used without measure, excessive accessories.
In-out, in Paris, style is all about details. Better to reduce them to a minimum, but choose them with precision: the right ones make the look.
