The Australian from Tudor finished seventh in the Giro d’Italia: best result ever also for Cancellara’s team
At 29 years old, the Italian Australian continues to grow. On Sunday in Rome Michael Storer finished seventh in the Giro, 10’13” behind Jonas Vingegaard, and the result confirms the “upward” trajectory that both he and Fabian Cancellara’s Tudor have been having in recent years. In fact, for Storer – 10 pro successes, including two stages at the Vuelta and the Tour of the Alps 2025 – it is the best result ever in a grand tour, and the same goes for the Swiss champion’s group, well managed at the Giro in the flagship by Matteo Tosatto. For Tudor the Frenchman Rondel was also in great evidence, with a background in skating and at 22 years old capable of finishing just outside the top 10. Yes, the path is right.
