Stijn Meert stays on as T1 of Torhout KM

The management board of Torhout KM considered the future of Meert last night. The coach from Ingelmunster had been on ‘inactive’ for ten days after he received a new conviction. Previously, that was for driving under the influence of alcohol. Now drugs were the culprit.

At first there was no unanimity within the management board. Some wanted to give him a second chance. Others thought he had already been given that second chance. In the end, the board of directors decided to keep him on board.
