After Horst Steffen’s farewell, SV Elversberg found a new head coach. Vincent Wagner becomes the successor to the long-term success coach and comes from TSG Hoffenheim II. At the SVE, the 39-year-old, who recently celebrated the regional league championship and the promotion to the 3rd league with the U23 of the Sinsheimer, signed a contract until 2028.

“We have dealt intensively with Vincent Wagner, his football orientation and his personality. He suits us very well – he combines professional competence with creative approaches and a brave playing style that we like to see in Elversberg. Vincent will not only continue our way so far, but also enrich and develop with new energy,” said sports director Ole Book.

Wagner, who is currently completing the Pro license at the DFB, added: “The chance and the task of participating in SV Elversberg as a coach as a coach and making the action is incredibly exciting. There has been a lot of positive things here in recent years, but there is also scope for my own impulses. The SVE is a club in the growth, which makes it all the more exciting. Now get to know everyone and then be able to get started in a few weeks with the team, the entire club and their surroundings. ” Wagner leaves Hoffenheim II after 102 games, previously he was an assistant coach at RW Essen.
