The House of Representatives recently debated demonstrations and the right to demonstrate. Last Saturday, officers again had to remove XR activists from the A10. The police have been complaining for some time about the disproportionate commitment to these ‘towing and removal actions’. Are there enough ways to tackle rioters or should the right to demonstrate be limited, as the VVD wants?
