ROLLING STONE was on site at the European premiere of the second season of “Landman” at Berlin’s Zoo Palast on Friday (November 14th). On the red carpet – which shone in bright blue at the PARAMOUNT+ event – we spoke to the main and supporting actors Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter.
“Landman” – the story:
The drama series, developed by Taylor Sheridan, is set in West Texas, an oil boom region of the USA. In the unscrupulous business of liquid gold, she follows land broker Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton. In his day-to-day work, the landman negotiates drilling rights and mediates between oil companies and landowners. The businessman has to deal with merciless corporations and power games by his competitors as well as family conflicts. The series is based on the podcast “Boomtown”.
