SS Daley visits Pitti Uomo

Steven Stokey-Daley, the British designer behind fashion label SSDaley, is the next guest designer at men’s fashion trade fair Pitti Immagine Uomo.

The Liverpool designer, whose fans include singer Harry Styles, will bring his “Made in Britain” collection to Florence, the trade fair organizer said on Tuesday.

With his theatrical fashion shows and creations, Daley not only inspires celebrity fans, but also the industry. In 2022, the fashion designer won the LVMH Prize for Young Designers. Now he will bring his gender-fluid style to Florence with a fashion show.

“Steven Stokey-Daley transforms the British upper class into a queer fashion fantasy,” said Francesca Tacconi, special events coordinator at Pitti Immagine. “Despite his youth, Steven’s project is characterized by an expressive maturity, a fun and eccentric reinterpretation of British heritage, an indifference to gender stereotypes and a commitment to sustainability.”

Daley is the second designer in the LVMH Prize talent pool to take part in Pitti Uomo next year. Luca Magliano, who was awarded the Karl Lagerfeld Prize from the LVMH young talent program at the beginning of the year, will also present a collection at the men’s fashion fair.

The 105th edition of the men’s fashion fair Pitti Uomo will take place in Florence from January 9th to 12th.
