Never before has a Korean television program won a Sag Awards, a prestigious U.S. film awards gala.

Something historic happened last Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which reward the best television and film performance of the year.
First, the Korean Squid Game live was the first Korean TV show and the first foreign-language TV series to win prizes at the Sag Awards Gala. Squid Game was nominated in four series, three of which took home the winning stakes.
Squid Game won the category for outstanding performance from a stunt band in a drama series. In addition, both performers of the main part of the series, HoYeon Jung27, and Lee Jung-jae,49, was awarded Best Actress and Best Actor in a Drama Series. It is unique that both the best male and female roles go to the actors in the same program.
HoYeon Jung, who made his first film role, gave a humble and grateful speech after winning it.
– First of all, thank you very much. I have sat many times watching you on the big screen and dreaming that one day I will become an actor. I just want to thank you, he expressed tears in his eyes and addressed the superstars of the film world sitting in the audience.
Among other things, the video shows actress Reese Witherspoon showing her popularity with resounding applause.
– Thank you for opening the door for me. The Squid Game girl thanks. I love you, he finally shouted into the microphone.
Lee Jung-jae, the male lead in the series, also humbly accepted his award.
