Spring temperatures approaching: ‘We will have some terrace weather on Monday afternoon’

Spring seems to arrive very early this year. We will reach 12 degrees on Sunday and it will be a little warmer early next week. “We will have some terrace weather in the afternoon,” says Jeroen Elferink from Weerplaza.

Saturday morning started off chilly, in some places in the province it was freezing. “But otherwise it is a great day,” Jeroen emphasized in the radio program ‘Weekend’ on Omroep Brabant. “It really couldn’t be better for January. The sun is shining brightly. Occasionally some innocent clouds pass over, but the sun shines through quite nicely. Later this day the clouds become a little thicker, but the weather is very friendly and calm. “There is no wind and it remains dry. It will be a maximum of 8 degrees. With that sun it feels pleasant.”

“It’s really warm for January!”

Next night it will be fresh and clear again and we have to take into account a degree of frost, but there is no wind.

There will be plenty of room for the sun again on Sunday. “Then there are a few more clouds and then it even becomes 12 degrees locally! That is really very warm for January. It should be 5 or 6 degrees now. So we are well above that.”

“Experience shows that winter will come around the corner.”

On Monday we will go even further in terms of temperature. “Then it will even be 13 degrees locally. The sun will also shine from time to time, so it could be a bit of terrace weather in the afternoon.”

The following days will also remain mild, but clouds will prevail. “But it remains dry.” So spring seems to come early this year. “But experience shows that winter will still be around the corner, with February and March still to go.”
