Two-time Brazilian champion in hang gliding and a well-known paraglider Philip Haegler died Thursday afternoon in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, according to the Brazilian CNN.

Haegler lost control of his connector and crashed into a residential building at about the 11th floor.
