Sports director Kehl apparently asks Süle for an interview

Niklas Süle has to fight for his regular place at Borussia Dortmund. Now there has apparently been a personal conversation between the defender, his advisor and sports director Sebastian Kehl at BVB.

According to “Bild”, Süle, player agent Volker Struth and manager Kehl discussed, among other things, the national player’s sporting situation on Tuesday. The meeting at the Dortmund office is said to have lasted around half an hour.

According to the tabloid, it was Kehl who arranged the meeting. Süle’s difficult situation with the Black and Yellows is said to have been part of the joint conversation. Concrete details have not yet been leaked to the public.

Süle’s difficult situation at BVB

The 28-year-old has been anything but settled under BVB coach Edin Terzic so far this season. Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck are often preferred in the starting lineup.

“Niklas had to be patient. But we knew that if he stayed diligent, if he accelerated, that we could always rely on him,” said Terzic in the run-up to the Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain. At the same time, the head coach took the veteran to task: “Now is the time when we need him. Now is the time when he wants to take advantage of his chance.”

Süle is reportedly dissatisfied with BVB

“Sky” reported on Monday that Süle is currently dissatisfied with his situation with the German runner-up. The 49-time national player moved from FC Bayern to Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. But instead of moving forward with all his experience, Süle is currently having a hard time with the Westphalians.

Will the personal exchange with Kehl bring about a turning point? The coming games will provide initial information about this.
