There are trampolines in the new hall and there is a spectacular ninjabaan. “That is for the competitive children, a storm track where they can play a match against each other.”
An additional advantage is that this play hall is open to children all year round, including winter. “Nienoord has been in existence for more than 70 years and has always been a summer attraction, from April to the autumn holidays. But with this hall we will also open in the weekends in the winter. We are looking forward to it enormously.”
Shortly after the official opening of the new hall, Postma sees the first children coming in and play and that affects the director. “It is almost a bit unreal, almost a dream. You have been working on this for five months and that is the moment that the youth comes in. I felt a slight emotion.”
