He has reached the top of the world: Finn Sonnekalb celebrates another World Cup podium in Calgary, Canada – at just 18 years old. Just last week the teenager set two German records in Salt Lake City. At the World Cup in Calgary he was only beaten by world record holder Jordan Stolz from the USA.
In 1:42.31 minutes, Sonnekalb fought a thrilling direct duel on the ice with Dominator Stolz, who was only three years older than him, on the 1988 Olympic track. The American ultimately won out of 20 starters in 1:42.10 minutes.
