Special fries bags and ‘sause’ promote Musea Brugge

In more than 25 chip shops in Bruges, your fries are served in custom cone bags, among other things.

The “Classics for classics” campaign was presented in the well-known chip shop De Bosrand. It should warm up a different audience to visit one of Bruges’ thirteen museums. A chef even developed a new fries sauce that fits well with the historical art collections in Bruges.

Nico Blontrock, Alderman for Culture Bruges: “So we are linking two extremes together. There is a new sauce on the market called Sause, written and pronounced in Brugs. And by the way, from a very special origin, so to speak from the cesspool from Karel De Stoute, ingredients that were found and that are now used in that sauce. It contains, among other things, grain of paradise, which was a spice that was very popular and sought after in the Middle Ages. We actually found it in the cesspit of Karel De Naughty and in other cesspools. That’s one of the ingredients in that fresh, tasty sauce. Sause.”
