The upcoming game day in the Champions League of water polo players can set the course for Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 towards the goal of the final round.

On Tuesday (7.30 p.m.) the Berliners will meet the Hungarians from OSC Budapest in the 12th main round of Group B in their home swimming pool in Schöneberg. Spandau is currently fifth in the eighth ranking with 11 points and four points behind Jug Dubrovnik (Croatia) in fourth place.

Four tickets will be awarded after 14 match days for the Final 8 in Belgrade from the end of June. Since victories in the Champions League games are rewarded with three points, the current difference between Spandau and 4th place can still be made up in view of the positions of the competing teams in the remaining three matches.

In the current season, Spandau managed a strong 9:9 in the first half of the season in Budapest and is now aiming for the third win in the sixth home game in the Berlin pool.

“Our goal is to win, all other speculation and arithmetic games are irrelevant for the moment. We want to do our best, the rest comes from that. This game is a game changer,” Manager said Peter Rohle.
