European soccer champions Spain will have to do without Dani Olmo in the upcoming two World Cup qualifiers.
The former Bundesliga professional suffered an unspecified muscle injury in his left leg, as the Spanish association RFEF announced on Friday.
After his return to FC Barcelona, further investigations should provide information about the length of Olmo’s forced break. The Spaniards, already plagued by numerous failures, will face Georgia as leaders of Group E on Saturday (8.45 p.m.), and there will be another home game against Bulgaria on Tuesday.
