Spain sticks to spectator rules

Despite the high number of infections in Spain, the government is sticking to its spectator regulations at sporting events.

For football games and all open-air events, the arenas can be filled with 75 percent of the spectator capacity. In the hall it is 50 percent. The Spanish Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that these rules, which have been in force since December 28, would continue until February 28.

In Spain, the incidence in the past 14 days is 2918. In sports facilities, as in almost all areas of public life, masks are compulsory.
