Southampton FC: Tino Livramento suffers cruciate ligament rupture

Regular under Hasenhüttl

Southampton FC have had to do without defensive talent Tino Livramento (19) for a long time. As the club announced on Wednesday, the right-back is likely to be out for the rest of the year with a cruciate ligament tear in his left knee. The England youth international was injured in the 2-2 draw at Brighton and was substituted after 37 minutes.

Coach Ralph Hasenhüttl now has to reschedule on the defensive because Livramento was set as a regular. Born in London, who switched from Chelsea to the “Saints” last summer for €5.9 million, he has made 32 appearances (one goal/two assists) in all competitions to date. The defender was among the winners in the Premier League’s latest market value update as he rose to €25m to become the second most valuable player in the squad. Globally, Livramento Stand is now the most valuable U20 right-back. Hasenhüttl has Kyle Walker-Peters (25) and Yan Valery (23) available for his position.
