FC Everton has secured the services of Shootingstar Tyler Dibling. The 19 -year -old wing player comes from FC Southampton for a base loss of 40.5 million euros. With bonus payments, this can increase to EUR 46.3 million. Dibling, who signs a contract with the Toffees by 2029, narrowly misses the top position as the most expensive Everton professional in the club’s history.

Last season Dibling was one of the bright spots in a disappointing Saints team, which played the second worst season in Premier League history with just twelve points. The U21 international England developed early on as a regular, completed 33 games and was involved in three goals. Its market value climbed to 25 million euros, which was the most valuable professional Southampton and the second most valuable of the championship.

“I am totally thrilled to sign here. I already felt the club, before I was here, solely through the social media and through people who told me about the club. I’m just ready to get started,” Dibling is quoted on the Evertons website. Coach David Moyes was happy about the arrival of the offensive player: “He is a talented, young, English player with a lot of potential. Tyler expands our offensive options and we will support him in his further development.”

In the long history of the traditional association, only Gylfi Sigurdsson, who came to Everton for 49.4 million euros in 2017, was more expensive than Dibling. Under the most expensive departures of the Saints, he took fourth place behind Virgil van Dijk (84.7 million, Liverpool), Roméo Lavia (62.1 million, Chelsea) and Sadio Mané (41.2 million, Liverpool). Dibling is the eighth new addition to the Moyes team, which is the 13th club of the Premier League, which cracks the 100 million mark. The expenses increase to EUR 128 million – tenth tenth in England’s top division.
