Sonja Barend distances herself from the stage production Sonja. The play is produced by Toneelgroep Maastricht and Senf Theaterpartners and is based on her book You’ll never see me againin which Barend describes her father’s fate during the Second World War. “Sonja Barend and publisher De Bezige Bij do not agree with the way in which the content of the book is depicted in the script of the stage production,” said the publisher.
