Wildlands had more visitors last year compared to 2023. The Emmer zoo was visited by 951,000 people, 25,000 more than a year earlier.
According to Wildlands, the growth is due to the ‘involvement’ of season ticket holders. There were about the same number of them as in 2023, but they passed the entrance to the park more often. The figures make Wildlands satisfied.
2024 was, among other things, the year of the reopening of Nortica Hafên, where seals and Chinese striped tree squirrels were added. The royal family also visited Emmen during King’s Day.
In 2019, the year before the corona pandemic broke out, the park attracted 930,000 visitors. In the following years, that number halved. The upward line was resumed in 2022. Then 830,000 people took a look at the animals.
The Wildnights event had its most successful edition last year. 55,000 visitors came to the illuminated park, which included shows. Wildlans mentions a growth of 31 percent compared to the previous edition.
At the end of May, Wildlands will celebrate its ninetieth anniversary. She wants to continue to innovate with the arrival of new animal species and construction projects.
