Sónar invites you to explore the light of the solstice with an interactive light column

The music festival Dream invites you to explore the light of the solstice with a spectacular interactive light column which stands in the heart of Barcelona, ​​in the University Square.

Within the framework of Barcelona Nadal FestivalSónar has installed ‘Analema’orcreation of the Glassworks studioformed by a huge luminous cylinder with an LED screen, 6 meters in diameter and 3 meters high, divided into 12 sections like prisms that, when crossed by light, reveal a wide amalgam of colors.

In turn, this piece inspired by the annual journey of the sun and the winter solstice celebrationis crowned by 12 robotic light beams that are visible from various points in the city.

Due to its interactive nature, those who pass by will be able to illuminate the Barcelona skyline with their own presence as they approach the installation.

The interactive audiovisual installation is directly connected to the time and specific space of pedestrians, who will be able to perceive the sunlight minute by minute and interact with it, showing that each perception is unique and unrepeatable.

In addition to the visual component, the piece has different sound environments: 12 compositions in 12 keys, created by Tarta Relena, sung in different languages ​​and located, each one of them, in each of the prisms.

The Catalan duo will interact live with the installation through two interventions: this Saturday at the inauguration and another on the night of the solstice, December 21.
