Aiello-Tika had a long day. She had already woken up at 4:30 in the morning, but it was not visible in the woman’s being. He was still cheerful and full of energy even at seven in the evening.

– I could have slept longer in the morning, but I was doing so many laps and waiting for the race that I just ran out of sleep, Aiello-Tikka laughed.

He refueled mainly with salt and honey before the race. So, after the show, the woman headed to the arena to eat with her family and loved ones, who had been cheering her on.

You have to hurry

Aiello-Tikka competed for the last time in November 2018. At that time, she represented Finland on the World Championship stages and made it to the top 15.

After the World Cup appearance, the woman got married and had a child. A 1.5-year-old boy is now chilling at home. Half a year after giving birth, she started training again for this spring’s games.

– Challenging yourself is fascinating in this sport. This is a really versatile and comprehensive job. I also like performing. It’s addictive when you get to show the result of your work, says Aiello-Tikka.

The lady with Italian ancestry trains on average 2-3 hours a day. The workouts are scheduled for the morning when the child is in kindergarten.

In addition to families with children and training, Aiello-Tikan keeps busy with her own business. He is a social media content creator and a kind of wellness coach.

– You have to be a good scheduler here, but I couldn’t do this alone. My family supports my sports, especially at the end of the diet, when the energy is low.

Versatile

Aiello-Tika’s competition diet lasted 20 weeks. They normally last between 14 and 30 weeks, depending on how much weight needs to be lost. Some of the competitors lose weight by more than 15 kilos, while others may manage with, for example, eight kilos.

Fitness athletes who perform on stage in a tight condition receive criticism at regular intervals. Many people think that busyness is not very healthy. Aiello-Tikka understands criticism.

– You often hear that this is a type of eating disorder or that the body’s hormonal function is destroyed and the fats are too low. However, they are only momentary things.

Aiello-Tikka hopes that people would better understand the whole. Fitness athletes don’t live all the time in low fat in full body fat.

– Well-being comes first here: we eat a variety of foods, take vitamins and sleep well.

Risks

Nowadays, fitness competitions are organized for even 16-year-olds.

– There are risks, Aiello-Tikka says directly.

The woman herself does not recommend the sport to minors, but if a minor gets excited about the sport, it would be extremely important for him to find a really professional coach.

– The diet should at least be implemented in such a way that the young person’s body and hormone function are considered. A young person should not be drawn into the same fat and condition as a 25-year-old.

– In addition, a young person’s mind is very susceptible and timid. So you have to take into account a lot more than the physical burden, Aiello-Tikka continues.

– I don’t really know what I think about the competition for 16-year-olds.

Could you recommend a fitness hobby for your own child?

– If I knew that he has a really professional coach and things are done correctly, I could recommend him, but not even then to a really young person.

Aiello-Tikka started fitness in her twenties, when she had finished figure skating.

To the final!

The Nordic competitions are in Norway in a couple of weeks. Aiello-Tikka plans to participate in skaba.

– I can still get a good competition routine there before the European Championships, since I haven’t competed in a long time.

The main aim of the spring is the European Championships. They will be held in Santa Susana, Spain, from May 3 to May 8.

– I’m going there to get a place in the finals, i.e. a place in the top six, the Aiello-Tikka line.

After that, the plans are open. The fitness guru, who turns 28 in the summer, wants to listen closely to how the body and mind react to the spring games after a long break.

– I feel good now, but let’s take it easy and see if I can participate in the SC in the fall.
