“Some seriously injured people have not yet been identified” – provisional balance: around 40 dead, about 115 injured

A tragedy has occurred during New Year’s Eve celebrations in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana. At least 40 people are said to be dead after a bar fire. The police officially speak of “several dozen deaths”, as the identification of victims is still in progress. In addition, around 115 people were injured. There is speculation that it started with some kind of fireworks candle in a champagne bottle.
