In November of last year, Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, the latest installment in the beloved PlayStation franchise, was announced. This free-to-play title emphasizes fast-paced multiplayer combat, throwing players into Captain Qwark’s training simulation, where they will search for the next generation of Galactic Rangers.
Upon launch, players will have access to twelve playable heroes, featuring both completely new characters and Lombaxes developed jointly with Insomniac Games. Each character comes with unique abilities and play styles, introducing a range of strategies for players to explore. Furthermore, there will be unlockable cosmetic items that allow players to customize their heroes.
Gamers can also look forward to experiencing six different game modes. These include classic team battles, PvE challenges, and a battle royale-inspired mode. Among the more unconventional offerings is a gameplay variant that combines soccer with the zany weapons characteristic of the series, adding an entertaining twist to the experience.
Pre-Registration is Now Open
The pre-registration for iOS and Android platforms is now officially open. Sony is implementing a familiar community system: the more people who register worldwide, the more rewards will be unlocked for everyone upon release. This incentive includes various in-game currencies, and as a capstone, an exclusive Clank costume for the hero Widget.
