Not only was football discussed in Solomon’s conference, but the player chose to leave the political topic aside

We didn’t just talk about football in the press conference to present Manor Solomon. It was almost inevitable given the somewhat heavy climate that accompanies, on a media level, the Israeli player purchased from Fiorentina. In answering questions on the topic, Solomon said:

“In the match against Lazio I didn’t receive the warmest welcome but it’s something I’ve already experienced in Spain. These things happen, but I’m not here to talk about politics, I’m here to play football, if there are boos I’ll accept it and I’ll just think about playing football. I’m Israeli and Jewish, I love my country but as I said I want to leave politics aside. What happened in Spain didn’t influence my choice to move to Florence.”
