Only a few weeks until the “Back to the Beginning” show, in which both Black Sabbath and front man Ozzy Osbourne will play their last appearances-a big event that requires a lot of preparation. The 76-year-old revealed this at least in his radio show “Ozzy’s Boneyard”.
Preparation for the grand finale
The music legend already announced in 2020 to suffer from Parkinson’s. Since then he has spoken openly about his illness and recovery. Also with regard to the preparation for his last gig, Osbourne speaks openly about the hurdles that are imminent.
He says that he had specially hired a trainer to prepare for the gig. “It’s hard, but he is convinced that he can make it for me. I give everything I have”. He also says: “It is about perseverance. The first thing that is lost when you are lying in bed for a long time is the condition. […] I have my blood pressure measured 15 times a day. “
Not just physically: Ozzy ozzbourne over mental hurdles
But the singer also speaks openly the mental challenges: “My head is crazy. ADHD – I have it strong,” he explains. “I will have done the show and have died mentally before I even started my exercises.” That’s why he has already made up for something: “Me [versuche]to do that at the back. I don’t go up there and say: ‘It will be great. I am confident. ‘ I will have fallen on the nose in my head beforehand. “
The show will take place on July 5th in Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The support acts are a number of big names: Metallica, Guns N ‘Roses, Tool, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Halestorm and many more. Ozzy Osbourne will initially give a solo performance before contesting the last shows together with Black Sabbath.
