Florian Neuhaus ensured a scandal at Borussia Mönchengladbach with his “Mallorca video”. After he apparently spoke to fans about his millions and described Roland Virkus as the “worst manager in the world”, he was suspended by professional training for four weeks and received a fine. Whether he still has a sporting future on the Lower Rhine was recently questioned.

Florian Neuhaus had already crashed from the international to a supplementary player in Gladbach under head coach Gerardo Seoane. In the past season, he brought it to just two Bundesliga starting elements.

Now, due to his internal punishment, the midfielder is still missing for weeks in preparation for the new season.

Definitely, according to information from the “Sport Bild”, the 28-year-old does not plan to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach. On the contrary: According to the specialist magazine, he wants to use his degradation to the second team to offer himself again with good performance for the professional team.

Neuhaus still has a contract in Gladbach until 2027

In four weeks, purely sporting criteria should then decide whether there is still a sporting benefit for Neuhaus at the Gladbachers. Sports Managing Director Roland Virkus also assured that they wanted to let personal sensitivities out after public defamation and only decide in the interests of the club.

According to “Sport Bild”, the player side does not want to actively look around for a new club. That would only change if Neuhaus proposed a contract termination including a salary payment.

Basically, according to the media report, however, it is still unlikely that the ten-time German international player will be able to gain a foothold again in the long term on the Niederrhein. His contract runs until 2027.
