In a representative survey, the travel voucher portal tripz.de determined how the kissing activities of Germans are in general and whether there is more sweet lip service on vacation than usual. Here are the results.
► Most Germans consider themselves good kissers, Berliners are a bit more modest
When it comes to the question of their own kissing qualities, the Germans are self-confident: around 62 percent consider themselves good kissers. The self-confidence of the women is pleasing: they answer the question in the affirmative with 65 percent, the men with only 59 percent. Berlin is slightly below the German average: only 60.5 percent consider themselves good kissers.
► Exercise comes with age?
Apparently not! In the various age groups, kissing sovereignty is highest among 30 to 39 year olds (72 percent), followed by the group of 18 to 29 year olds and 40 to 49 year olds (62 percent each). In the oldest group of people surveyed (70 to 74 years), very few consider themselves good kissers.
► Everyday life versus vacation: This is where people kiss most often
When comparing the frequency of kissing “everyday life versus vacation”, the result is clear: People kiss more often when travelling. 22 percent of Germans stated that they want to kiss more on vacation than at home. Only 14 percent think that their lips seem to meet more in everyday life.

Here, too, Berliners are slightly below the national average: Only 21 percent of the capital city dwellers kiss more often when travelling. 46.6 say that they bust just as much in everyday life and are the German leader with this statement. So the time in Berlin seems to be just as hot as the time on an exotic beach.
► Singles also kiss more in other countries
Especially with couples, the exchange of tenderness is highest on vacation. It makes little difference whether they are married (27 percent) or not (28 percent). But singles also spend more time kissing on vacation (14 percent) than in everyday life (nine percent)! The sun and cocktail effect seems to be at work here!
