In the team parallel giant slalom in Winterberg, four German snowboarders were on the podium. Ramona Hofmeister and Elisa Huber won the victory in front of Cheyenne Loch and Stefan Baumeister.
At the very last World Cup race of the season and shortly before the World Cup in St. Moritz, the German snowboarders provided a double coup: In the team parallel giant slalom, the duo Ramona Hofmeister/Elias Huber (Team Deutschland 1) won the victory off Cheyenne Loch and Stefan Baumeister (Team Deutschland 2).
First, Baumeister prevailed against Huber in the final. But the lead of 0.44 seconds was not enough for Cheyenne Loch to refer the strong Ramona Hofmeister to second place.
Hofmeister makes up for the deficit
The Bischofswiesenin carvte uses rhythmically and flawlessly over the soft slope and tore her arms into the air. “It is very important, it was a lot of fun driving with the Elias and standing in the grand finale with our teammates”said Hofmeister after the race on ZDF.
Both German teams had previously prevailed against Italian teams in the semi -finals.
Hofmeister travels to the World Cup as a favorite
The four Germans were celebrated in front of a home crowd – for them we are now going to the World Cup in St. Moritz with great confidence. It is not yet clear whether the duos will compete in the same constellation at the World Cup team race, said head coach Paul Marx on ZDF.
