AMSTERDAM – It was 05:20 Canadian time when we got Melissa Peperkamp on the phone earlier this week. Where others might sound a bit sleepy, the 17-year-old Dutch snowboarder’s energy is already splashing early in the morning. Peperkamp has every reason to be enthusiastic, because in Calgary she finished fourth in the slopestyle, the part in which she will also compete at the Winter Games in Beijing.
