The weather service writes that three to five centimeters of snow may fall during rush hour. There is therefore a risk of accidents due to slippery bridges, roads, cycle paths and footpaths.
Code orange applies in North Holland until 10 a.m. It will then change to code yellow, because the winter conditions will continue in the coming days. Code yellow lasts until at least 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Snow is expected again during the evening rush hour.
