Snipes opens 400th store and encourages sneakerheads to dance

The Cologne streetwear retailer Snipes is opening its 400th store in Europe and is shaking a leg to celebrate the day.

The new store in the Alte Post in Berlin’s Neukölln district not only has a sales area, but is also a publicly accessible and free-to-use community space with a professional sound and dance studio, Snipes announced on Tuesday.

With Studio 44, the name of the recording and dance studio, Snipes wants to promote local talents and clubs and offer them the opportunity to network. According to Cologne, it should be a place for mutual exchange, art and streetwear.

The store will be inaugurated together with various artists from the Berlin rap and hip-hop scene. There will also be workshops with dancer Majid Kessab and the Berlin Dance Crews, while customers can learn “how to produce beats” in the recording and music studio.
