The FC Emmen – Willem II match was stopped for a few minutes on Friday evening due to fireworks in the stands.
Shortly after FC Emmen player Vicente Besuijen scored the 1-0, the fireworks were lit. The smoke bombs created so much smoke that referee Allard Lindhout decided to stop the match for a few minutes. After the smoke cleared, Lindhout resumed the match.
