Jimi Suomi, 23, who had a hard time in the SC league playoffs, is changing clubs.
Finland switches Kouvola from KooKoo’s back lines to the western neighbor’s side, when he joins the ranks of the SHL club Växjö Lakers.
– Jimi is a very fascinating player with a lot of quality qualities. We help him develop right into the caste of Europe’s leading players. He has the potential for that, Växjö’s sports boss Henrik Evertsson believes.
Finland scored 11+20=31 in 53 regular season matches last season. He was KooKoo’s driving force in the spring, when the club from Kouvola progressed all the way to the finals. Finland scored 4+9=13 points in 18 playoff games.
Before jumping to KooKoosee, Finland represented TPS in the SM league.
