SkiRosserin Daniela Maier missed her seventh podium placement at the World Cup in Gudauri this winter. In the final in Georgia, the 28-year-old had to be satisfied with fourth place after a close finish.

The third -placed India Shern (Canada) took the lead in the overall World Cup in front of her teammate Marielle Thompson and Maier. For Luisa Klapproth (9th) and Veronika Redder (11th) it was over in the quarterfinals, Fanny Smith (Switzerland) won the day’s victory ahead of Jole Galli (Italy).

Wilmsmann already failed in the qualification

In the men, the starters of the German Ski Association (DSV) all missed the decisive phase. Persistent Florian Wilmsmann had left qualification the day before, day winner Simone Deromedis from Italy expanded his lead in the overall World Cup. Florian Fischer, Cornell Renn and Tim Hronek failed in the round of 16.

The next World Cup races in Gudauri will rise on Saturday, followed by the competitions in Craigleith, Canada. The World Championships of the Ski Freestyler will then take place in St. Moritz/Switzerland from March 17th to 30th.
