Ski star Dreßen announces a timely comeback

Ski racer Thomas Dreßen has announced his comeback after an injury break of several weeks.

As Germany’s best speed driver announced on Instagram, he wants to start at the Lauberhorn race next weekend in Wengen. “After my injury break, I’m back on skis and feeling great!!! So I’m ready for the upcoming classics,” wrote the 29-year-old on Sunday.

The five-time World Cup winner suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh in mid-December on the downhill run in Val Gardena.

Just a few weeks after his comeback at the end of November, Dreßen had to pause again. With an eighth place in Lake Louise, the Upper Bavarian has already qualified for the World Cup in France in February.
