13:46
Both Austrians in the final round
Lisa Eder is in third place after the first round and has a very good chance of a podium finish. Julia Mühlbacher also showed a decent jump and is currently in 13th place.
13:44
Three Germans in the top 10
In addition to Selina Freitag, two other jumpers from the German team were convincing. Katharina Schmid, who will end her career after this season, is in seventh place. Agnes Reisch also made it into the top ten in ninth place. Juliane Seyfarth and young jumper Julina Kreisch, however, are eliminated in positions 26 and 27.
13:41
Prevc at the top
Nika Prevc is jumping in a different league again today and is clearly leading the field after the first round. DSV jumper Selina Freitag is in second place, but is already 14.8 points behind the leader. Lisa Eder from Austria takes third place and is 15.5 points behind the Slovenian.
13:37
Yuki Ito (JPN) vs. Nozomi Maruyama (JPN)
Yuki Ito opens the final duel and with 117 meters she could make it into the final round as a lucky loser. But can Maruyama now attack Nika Prevc’s leadership? She’s a little late and then loses a lot. With 127 meters, the Japanese cannot attack at the front and therefore moves to fourth place.
1:35 p.m
Josie Johnson (USA) vs. Nika Prevc (SLO)
The American is flying much too flat and therefore quickly loses altitude. With 114 meters she has no chance of making the second round. Nika Prevc jumps off perfectly and there is virtually nothing to complain about in flight. It flies at 136.5 meters and of course moves into first place.
13:32
Ringo Miyajima (JPN) vs. Lisa Eder (AUT)
Ringo Miyajima wants too much in the last third of the flight and that becomes the Japanese’s downfall. It jumps only 108 meters, making it the shortest flight to date. Lisa Eder is the best Austrian this winter and she makes it look very easy. With 127.5 meters she achieved second place.
1:30 p.m
Julina Kreibich (GER) vs. Selina Freitag (GER)
Julina Kreibich is celebrating her World Cup debut today and for her it’s just about gaining experience. With 109.5 meters she will not make it to the final round. Selina Freitag puts a lot of self-confidence into her jump and it pays off. With 127 meters she jumps to the top of the field.
13:28
Maja Kovacic (SLO) vs. Anna Odine Strøm (NOR)
Only five duels remain and Maja Kovacic opens the first. The Slovenian doesn’t get any pressure under her skis after the jump and only reaches 109.5 meters. The Norwegian approaches the jump very aggressively and swings slightly, but she wins her duel without any problems.
13:24
Josephine Pagnier (FRA) vs. Nika Vodan (SLO)
After a bad start to the season, qualifying for today is already a success. The Frenchwoman reaches 115 meters, but that probably won’t be enough for the second round. Nika Vodan leaves no room for doubt, but is not satisfied with 123 meters.
13:22
Frida Westman (SWE) vs. Agnes Reisch (GER)
Westman glides easily through the air and sails at 121 meters. That’s a very good distance for the Swede, but it should still be easily manageable for Reisch. The German flies well above the K-point and clenches her fist as she runs out. This means she can show another jump.
13:18
Annika Sieff (ITA) vs. Eirin Kvandal (NOR)
The former combined skier has her skis way too steep in the air and can’t make it over the K point. Kvandal is not happy with her jump, but it is currently easily enough to make it to the finals. However, the FIS has problems with the technology and no distances are displayed.
1:15 p.m
Katra Komar (SLO) vs. Yuka Seto (JPN)
Katra Komar jumps high, but takes far too little speed and only manages 110 meters. That shouldn’t pose too many hurdles for the in-form Yuka Seto. The Japanese jumps off a little late, but still gets on.
1:15 p.m
Nicole Maurer (CAN) vs. Anezka Indrackova (CZE)
Maurer is having a bit of a hard time here, but for her standards it’s still pretty decent at 115 meters. The Czech recently jumped a new national record, but with 118.5 meters she cannot convince today. Nevertheless, she moves on to the next round.
13:13
Minja Korhonen (FIN) vs. Sara Takanashi (JPN)
The Finn jumps off too late and the skis are a bit too steep in flight. With only 112 meters, it probably won’t happen in the second round. The experienced Takanashi shows the longest jump so far with 128 meters and easily makes it into the final round.
13:10
Juliane Seyfarth (GER) vs. Ping Zeng (CHN)
The Thuringian is the second German and the wind is now coming from behind a little stronger than at the beginning. That’s why Seyfarth has to get down from the beam first and she has to go up a hatch. But it doesn’t really start to fly and only reaches 110 meters. Ping Zeng leaves no room for doubt with 126 meters and can jump again straight away.
1:06 p.m
Silje Opseth (NOR) vs. Abigail Strate (CAN)
The Norwegian is visibly dissatisfied with her flight at 118.5 meters and now has to hope that Abigail Strate makes a mistake. But the Canadian doesn’t let anything go wrong here and makes it into the next round with 121.5 meters.
1:05 p.m
Heidi Dyhre Traaserud (NOR) vs. Gyda Westvold Hansen (NOR)
Now there is a Norwegian duel and Traaserud approaches the jump very aggressively. It reaches 120.5 meters. Her teammate does a little better, but has to correct a lot after the jump. The former combined athlete jumps 124.5 meters and wins the duel.
1:03 p.m
Katharina Schmid (GER) vs. Julia Mühlbacher (AUT)
Katharina Schmid from Oberstdorf opens the two-night tour from Luke 21. The German gets off well and sets the first record of the day with 127 meters. But that’s enough to win their duel. Julia Mühlbacher jumps three meters shorter, meaning the German is in the final round.
12:54
No Swiss woman at the start
For the Swiss team, the qualification was anything but good. Three divers competed in the qualification and none made it into the first round. Rea Kindlimann, Simone Buff and Sina Arnet were eliminated in places 57, 49 and 41.
12:50
Again only two ÖSV athletes
In Engelberg there are once again only two jumpers from the Alpine republic at the start. Chiara Kreuzer and Hannah Wiegele were eliminated from the qualification in 35th and 38th place. Lisa Eder came in third place and Julia Mühlbacher came in 15th.
12:47
German quintet
The DSV sent a total of twelve jumpers to the qualification and five of them survived the qualification. The team is led by Selina Freitag, the best German jumper this winter. In her duel she will compete against her teammate Julina Kreibisch, who qualified for a World Cup competition for the first time. The German squad is completed by Agnes Reisch, Katharina Schmid and Juliane Seyfarth.
12:37
Four Hills Tournament next year also for women
From the 2026/27 season there will also be a Four Hills Tournament for women and the prospects for this now look good. There was no floodlight at the Bergisel ski jump in Innsbruck, but yesterday, Tuesday, approval was given for the construction of a floodlight system. It is currently planned that the women’s competitions will be held on the men’s qualifying day.
12:28
Welcome!
