Pola Beltowska (POL)

For Pola Beltowska, respect for the large hill plays a big role. She seems hesitant and with 104 meters the competition ends early.

10:26

Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen (NOR)

What does Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen do? With a lot of tailwind, 114.5 meters are enough for the lead. There is a slight smile on the Norwegian woman’s face.

10:25

Silje Opseth (NOR)

Silje Opseth still has to correct minor mistakes on the jump. Nevertheless, she reached 113 meters and took last place in the second round. She can breathe a sigh of relief straight away.

10:25

Nicole Maurer (CAN)

Great jump from Nicole Maurer! Even though she’s a little late when she takes off, she really gets going. 116 meters and posture scores around 15.0 put them in third place and also further into round two.

10:24

Martina Zanitzer (ITA)

Martina Zanitzer from Italy does it a little better. The 20-year-old collected World Cup points for the first time on Friday and wants to build on that. 113 meters brought her second place and she is now qualified for the second round.

10:23

Jenny Rautionaho (FIN)

Jenny Rautionaho is not coping well with the new suit regulations. Her jumps are cautious and at 112 meters the jump is solid, but she still lacks confidence.

10:22

Paige Jones (USA)

The third American is already on track. Paige Jones lands at 110 meters, but she jolts forward slightly as she lands. With snowfall, a fall can happen so quickly. But here and now everything turned out well.

10:22

Julia Kykkänen (FIN)

Julia Kykkänen sits ready. She is one of the most experienced ski jumpers currently. How far does it go for them? She doesn’t quite make the lead, but with 110 meters she will take second place and hope for a second round.

10:21

Tinkara Komar (SLO)

Tinkara Komar is still relatively inexperienced in the World Cup. This is noticeable again today, because 104.5 meters will not be enough for a second round.

10:20

Bing Dong (CHN)

Bing Dong continues. But her jump ends quickly at 108 meters and a very steep flight. In better wind conditions she would have had to jump a few meters further to take the lead. So it’s only sixth place for the Chinese.

10:19

Maja Kovacic (SLO)

Maja Kovacic ends up around the lead. The 19-year-old manages a distance of 108.5 meters and pushes for Wiegele.

10:19

Hannah Wiegele (AUT)

It’s almost a point jump right now. Hannah Wiegele lands at 108 meters. She usually feels a little more comfortable on the normal hill and ranks third.

10:18

Annika Belshaw (USA)

Annika Belshaw also manages 111.5 meters. However, her landing is better and so the American takes the lead for the time being.

10:17

Yangning Weng (CHN)

It’s Yangning Weng’s birthday today and would like to treat himself to a second round. She sets a new record of 111.5 meters, but has problems when landing. Their posture scores are only between 14.0 and 15.0 points.

10:16

Anna Hollandt (GER)

We continue directly with the first German jumper. Anna Hollandt sets the telemark at 106 meters and feels her way up the large hill. With a bit of luck it could be enough for a second jump.

10:15

Josie Johnson (USA)

Josie Johnson goes into the inrun lane from starting hatch 32. However, their flight doesn’t last long. The jump looked quite on time, she was forced to land on the slope at 102.5 meters.

10:13

Conditions are tricky

When there is quite a lot of snowfall, the American Josie Johnson takes the lead. More snow is expected as the morning progresses and the wind could also pick up. Those responsible will probably start at a rapid pace.

10:04

Maruyama in a league of his own

But all eyes are certainly on the Japanese Nozomi Maruyama, who seems unbeatable so far. With three World Cup victories, she draws level with teammate Sara Takanashi, who had a similarly good start to the World Cup in 2013. Back then she even won the first four competitions. Nobody in Falun today doubts that Maruyama can do this too.

10:00

Arnet should fix it

Sina Arnet once again keeps Swiss hopes high. She is the only Swiss jumper to make it into the first round. Compatriot Rea Kindlimann had no chance of qualifying in 60th place.

09:54

Only three ÖSV jumpers there

The Austrians have two hot irons in the fire with Lisa Eder and Julia Mühlbacher. However, nothing happens for a long time after that. Hannah Wiegele still qualifies for the main event, but will need to improve if she wants to advance in the competition. Lisa Hirner and Chiara Kreuzer experienced a bitter day. Neither made it past qualifying and are doomed to watch.

09:48

DSV with five starters

Qualification ended just a few moments ago. Selina Freitag impressed with a distance of 114 meters and came sixth. Juliane Seyfarth, Katharina Schmid and Agnes Reisch also qualified 16th, 17th and 19th. Anna Hollandt also made it into the first round. Only Emely Torazza is left behind. As 49th, she clearly missed the competition.

09:43

Welcome
