There will be a hot battle for the first three places here.”

Eisenbichler and Schmid not there

The weak German record holder Markus Eisenbichler is not there in Bad Mitterndorf; Constantin Schmid was dropped from the most recent World Cup squad due to the team being downsized by one jumper.

The qualification takes place at the Kulm on Thursday, the individual world champion will be determined in four rounds on Friday and Saturday, and a team competition will take place on Sunday (2 p.m. each time). The last German world champion was Geiger in Planica in 2020; a German team has never won the title.
