Coach Ole Werner continued his winning streak with second division soccer team Werder Bremen and achieved half a dozen wins in a row. The Hanseatic League won 2-1 (0-0) against Karlsruher SC.

Goalscorer Marvin Ducksch (51st) scored the opening goal for the North Germans. It was the twelfth goal of the season for the attacker, who scored for the sixth time under Werner.

Philipp Hofmann (59th) succeeded in surprisingly equalizing for Baden, who had previously been unable to set any accents on the offensive. Anthony Jung (76th) scored to win for SVW.

Thanks to the three, Werder initially climbed to second place. However, FC St. Pauli can regain second place against SC Paderborn in the evening.

Niclas Füllkrug (21st) had the first chance for the hosts in the balanced game. His header from a Milos Veljkovic cross just missed the KSC goal.

Seven minutes later Ducksch already had the 1:0 on his feet after a bad pass from Philip Heise, but his hasty shot also missed the goal.

Ex-Bremer Benjamin Goller was unable to play for Karlsruhe. A clause in his contract with KSC prevents him from playing against his former club.
