Series Contents: The Loves and Life of Karl Lagerfeld

“Kaiser Karl”, as Lagerfeld was occasionally called by the press, wants to show “Lagerfeld’s rise in the world of Parisian haute couture” in the 1970s. The synopsis further promises: “After meeting and falling in love with Jacques de Bascher, a young dandy, Karl Lagerfeld found himself in competition with Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the head of the most renowned fashion brand in the world. This is the story of ‘Kaiser Karl’ and his desperate quest for recognition; full of clan rivalries and ego battles, parties and decadence, tragic love affairs and great friendships.”
