The sister of basketball player Naz Reid was found in an apartment with gunshot wounds. All help came too late for them. Your friend is suspected of murder.
Sad news for NBA professional Naz Reid by Minnesot Timberwolves: The basketball player’s sister was killed in the USA at the weekend. This reports several international media.
According to the police, Toraya Reid was found on September 6th with several gunshot wounds in an apartment complex in Jackson Township, around 24 kilometers from the coast of New Jerseys. Officials had been called to a residential building at around 11 a.m. and discovered the 29-year-old unconscious near the entrance. All help came too late for them.
Police officers still arrested the alleged perpetrator at the scene. It is Shaquille Green, who was in a relationship with Reid. He did not resist and is still in custody. Ocean County’s public prosecutor said that Green was responsible for the death of Toraya Reid according to the previous investigation. In addition, he was accused of owning illegal weapons.
Naz Reid had a close relationship with his sister. On Instagram he shared photos that both show together – some of them from childhood. Already in 2023 he said about her in the magazine “Minneapolis-St. Paul”: “My older sister is super protective, she treats us as if she were our mother.”
At the time, he continued: “Since I was the only boy, everyone always took care of me because I played basketball in another city. So everyone made sure that I was fine.”
