During the Silverstone race weekend, the top positions will be decided between the three teams.

Red Bull and Ferrari will have genuine company from Mercedes at Silverstone.

Silver Arrow drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have suffered throughout the early season from the violently bouncy W13 car. It produces physical pain and destroys the chances of good lap times when the ride height has had to be raised higher than the optimum.

Brackley-based Mercedes has got the problem under control at its home track. The car is visually better to drive than in the early season.

But don’t just believe the reporter. Rusell told the truth.

– The car doesn’t bounce, the British driver reports on the team radio during the session, guaranteed to be smiling inside his helmet.

On the results list, Mersut was in consecutive places fourth and fifth. However, it is worth noting the time difference from others. Max Verstappen topped his own expenses with more than four tenths of a difference to his team mate to Sergio Perez. However, Russell was only a tenth behind the Mexican, and Hamilton was only a couple of hundredths behind his teammate.

Valtteri Bottas was the eighth of the exercises. Alfa Romeo has returned to the right marching order in Finnish terms. Guanyu Zhou was 13th, more than half a second behind his teammate.

Qualifying for the British GP starts at 17:00 Finnish time. Iltalehti follows the session live as usual.
