Uğur Aktaş won the silver medal at the ongoing European Karate Championship in Frankfurt, Germany. National athlete Uğur Aktaş faced his Italian opponent Matteo Avanzini in the men’s kumite +84 kilo final.
The crescent-star athlete, who lost 4-1 to his opponent in the match he played after receiving treatment for his injury, became the second in Europe. Even though Uğur Aktaş, who had won the European Championship 4 times before, was defeated, his opponent raised his hand at the end of the match and the real champion made that sign.
