The war in Ukraine stirs up a lot of emotions. Sadness, anger, powerlessness and insecurity. This is also the case in Zoetermeer. To show our support to the Ukrainian people, the municipality is organizing a silent march on Saturday 12 March.

The starting point of the silent tour is on the Markt in the Stadshart. Everyone is welcome there from 5 p.m. Friends, relatives, acquaintances and colleagues of Ukrainians, but also other Zoetermeer residents are called upon to be together and show our compassion.
Before the silent march, the mayor will give a short speech. The silent tour starts at 5:30 PM. This is the route:

Mayor Michel Bezuijen says: “I hope that as many Zoetermeer residents as possible will join us during the silent march. Let’s see how sympathetic we are with the people of Ukraine who are suffering because of the war.”
